Gain topical information and insights from our monthly seminars.
The seminars form an important part of our events. They provide the ideal opportunity for you to learn about current business trends, as well as refresh the knowledge and techniques that, even with the best will in the world, can get forgotten with time.

Seminar: Scaling Responsible Consumption
Presenter - Helen Brain and Simon Garnett
What is responsible consumption and how can we scale it for the benefit of society and the planet?
We'll be joined for this online event by Helen Brain and Simon
Garnett who will help us shine a light on a crucial topic for all of our
futures.
ABOUT THE PRESENTERS -
HELEN BRAIN - Helen has 20 years' experience working on B2C and B2B brands in almost
every sector, developing comms strategies to make good ideas go further,
faster. She is especially passionate about making the really, really,
good ideas travel further and faster - so she gets most excited when
working with the brands connecting with communities to create societal
value, the brands inventing new products and business models to speed
up the sustainable transition, and the brands who recognise the power of
culture in creating a better future.
SIMON GARNETT - In Oct 2018, Simon went to his front door to receive a package from
Amazon Prime (it was back in the days when they actually handed you a
parcel) and to his horror, realised he couldn't remember what he had
bought. That trigged some soul-searching about his relationship with
consumption and a pledge to spend 2019 trying not to buy anything new
(well bar the odd pair of pants and socks). Fast forward 6 years and he
now spends a lot of his time thinking about the nature of consumption,
our relationship with new and how we can create the kind of scale change
we need as a society. And he is still buying 2nd hand as 1st choice.
