Seminar: Influencing styles - the push and pull philosophy at work.
Presenter - Lyann Farrelly Thursday Child
Influencing others can be difficult whether its taking an item back for a refund or persuading that new prospect to give you their business.

Often when influencing our intention doesn't match the way we present ourselves, either over compensating or shrinking back and acquiescing.

In this session we will explore the push/pull continuum, the value and the risks associated with both and the congruence needed between intention and physical energy with both styles.

By the end of the session you will be able to
? Understand the pros and cons of push and pull approach when influencing
? Recognise your own influencing preference and the impact this has
? Practice another style of influence and the possibilities this presents

About The Presenter

Lyann is a HR and OD innovator with experience across a broad range of organizations and industries including Warner Brothers and PWC.

In this interactive seminar you will learn about the Push and pull styles of influence and have a place to practice some of the tips and techniques.

Seminar: Marketing in a Climate of Change
Presenter - Richard Wain - Founder and Director - Vu Online Ltd
The next decade is likely to mark one of the most significant transitions in human history as we work to minimise the impact of global climate and biodiversity crises. As businesses and as individuals we are already making changes, we are looking to collaborate and we are looking to spread the word about the action that we?re taking and the impact that it has. None of us has the answers but we can all gain new perspectives and ideas through sharing and collaboration.

  • If you want to make small changes, change how you do things.
  • If you want to make major changes, change how you see things.
Don Campbell, Pioneer of Regenerative Farming
In this hands-on workshop, Richard Wain, Director of Digital Marketing agency Vu Online Ltd. will facilitate a discussion about what a successful fight against climate change and biodiversity loss might look like and how we might help each other to achieve a positive outcome. We'll think about what motivates us and holds us back from change, what actions we can take and how we can share our successes without green-washing.

The session aims to provide a framework for looking at our businesses differently, identifying the potential impact that our businesses can have and telling stories that connect with and inspire our customers, stakeholders, competitors and the wider business community.
